Emily and Chris’ romance started across the pond! Over in England, they met in middle school as they were in the same year and class. Their love blossomed through their mutual interests in kayaking, snowboarding, wave surfing and spending a quiet night in with each other. Chris proposed by pretending to have a business meeting at a nice restaurant. Chris surprised Emily with their closest family members who were hiding behind a screen. He then got down on one knee and proposed!
Winter Mountaintop Helicopter Photo Session in Whistler
Emily and Chris currently live in Hong Kong, but they wanted to fly over here to Whistler where Emily’s parents live for their engagement session.
Initially, their plan for Whistler Helicopter Pre-Wedding Session was to take a helicopter flight to the famous Ice Cave of Blackcomb Mountain. However, we had to change our plans as the day before the shoot there was an avalanche in the mountains and the ice cave was buried under the snow! You can never predict Mother Nature! When you do your session outdoors in the mountains, you have to be prepared for anything.
Emily and Chris decided to start the day of Whistler Helicopter Pre-Wedding Session at the sweet and cozy home of Emily’s parents’ house in Whistler. In Karizma Photography we rarely shoot indoors, but we absolutely loved experimenting with the light and space within Emily’s family home.
We then headed to the airport to take a flight up to the mountains. The weather was finally just perfect! It was windy and cold up top, but it was so worth it! Guys spent about an hour on top of the mountain and we took some absolutely breathtaking photos. We created some amazing memories that Emily and Chris will cherish forever.
We want to give a huge thanks to the No Limits Heli Adventure helicopter company who were so flexible and helped make the entire process smooth and painless for the bride and groom.
